Jamie O'Hara's first goal for Blackpool earned the Championship's bottom side a 1-0 victory at home to fellow strugglers Brighton.

Blackpool remain nine points adrift of safety - with Brighton currently just above the drop zone themselves on 29 points - but back-to-back wins at Bloomfield Road have given Lee Clark's side renewed hope.

It was former Tottenham midfielder O'Hara who did the damage on 75 minutes with a stunning strike, and it broke Brighton's three-game winning streak away from home.

Odion Ighalo scored four times as Watford produced a remarkable second-half performance to move within four points of the top of the Championship following a 7-2 victory over Blackpool.

The Hornets found themselves two goals down at the break, but they dug themselves out of that hole in sensational style with a devastating seven-goal showing after the break as Troy Deeny, Matej Vydra and Gabriele Angella also joined in the home side's free-scoring run following last week's 5-0 win over Charlton Athletic.

Tom Ince to cost Hull £2.3m after compensation with Blackpool agreed

Minutes have come few and far between for Tom Ince this season at Hull City.
Tom Ince signed a two-year deal in the summer.

Hull will pay up to 2.3 million pounds for Tom Ince after they reached a compensation agreement with Blackpool over the winger.

Ince, 22, joined the Tigers during the summer after his deal with the Seasiders expired but, due to his age, Blackpool were entitled to recoup a fee for the England Under-21 international.

The two clubs were understood to be attending a tribunal last week in order to determine how much Ince would cost Hull and Blackpool confirmed on their official Twitter feed that a subsequent...

Dave Edwards and Benik Afobe combined to ensure Wolves were able to celebrate the life of the club's former owner Sir Jack Hayward with a win as they ground out a hard-fought 2-0 Sky Bet Championship victory against bottom-of-the-table Blackpool.

There were tributes to Sir Jack, who died on Tuesday at the age of 91, before the match as his name was spelt out in the stands.

But the emotion of the occasion initially seemed to get the better of the Wolves players who only really hit their stride in the...

Peter Clarke's first goal of the season boosted Blackpool's hopes of avoiding relegation from the Sky Bet Championship with a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Millwall.

The Seasiders had only won one of their previous 14 games in all competitions and earlier in the week owner Owen Oyston wrote an open letter to disgruntled Blackpool supporters.

But Clarke's first-half header moved the bottom side to within eight points of safety, while Millwall remained inside the bottom three with this their fourth...
