Andrew Shinnie's winner clinched a scrappy 1-0 victory for Birmingham over Blackpool as Lee Clark's return to St Andrew's ended in defeat.

Midfielder Shinnie's first-half header sealed the points with Clark returning to Birmingham for the first time since being sacked in October.

His old side hammered another nail in the Tangerines' coffin to leave them bottom, 15 points from safety, in the Sky Bet Championship while Blues rose to 13th.

Robert Tesche made his full Birmingham bow, replacing the banned...

Kim Bo-kyung and Harry Maguire scored their first goals for Wigan in a vital 3-1 victory at fellow Championship strugglers Blackpool.

South Korea international Kim, who joined from Cardiff earlier in February, opened his Latics account just before the break and centre-back Maguire, on loan from Hull, added a second midway through the second half.

Winger James McClean then sealed the visitors' victory late on to leave Blackpool - who scored a late consolation through Gary Madine - routed to the bottom...

Brentford cruised to an emphatic 4-0 win over bottom club Blackpool to maintain their play-off push in the Sky Bet Championship.

A hat-trick from Arsenal loanee Jon Toral and an Andre Gray strike sealed the points against the woeful 10-man Tangerines.

The visitors managed just one effort on goal compared to Brentford's 14 in a game that had the air of a training session after Charles Dunne saw red for Lee Clark's side just before the break.

The midfielder was handed a straight red for a late lunge on...

Bottom-of-the-table Blackpool picked up just their sixth point on their travels this season as Blackburn were held to a 1-1 draw at Ewood Park.

Rovers demolished Barclays Premier League opponents Stoke in the fifth round of the FA Cup here seven days ago, yet they found the Sky Bet Championship basement dwellers a far trickier nut to crack.

It looked as though a comfortable afternoon was in the offing for Gary Bowyer's side after Jordan Rhodes' 14th-minute finish put them ahead.

However, Seasiders loanee...

Blackpool manager Lee Clark admitted he missed his side's dramatic late equaliser which salvaged a 4-4 draw against Nottingham Forest because he was arguing with a disgruntled Seasiders fan.

Blackpool would have moved off the bottom of the Championship with a win, but after leading 2-0 they saw Forest fight back in the second half to edge ahead 4-3 in the 95th minute courtesy of Chris Burke's late strike.

Yet even with Tom Aldred sent off - as well as having Darren O'Dea and Andrea Orlandi stricken...
