Ben Marshall's superb double helped Blackburn come from behind to defeat Wigan 3-1 in a thrilling encounter at Ewood Park.

After creating clear-cut chances towards the end of the first half and continuing the form into the second period, Wigan finally went ahead through James Perch's fine volley.

But it was the first of three goals in the space of five minutes as Rovers equalised through Marshall's first after 53 minutes, which was a wonderfully directed long-range effort.

Wolves impressive attacking duo of Nouha Dicko and Bakary Sako combined to ensure that the team celebrated 125 years of league football at Molineux in style with a 3-1 Skybet Championship win over Blackburn Rovers.

Dicko opened the scoring before Sako helped himself to a double as Kenny Jackett's side collected their fourth win from five games in the match the club had earmarked to commemorate the landmark.

Speaking after his side's 1-1 draw with Stoke, Bruce confirmed his summer-long pursuit of 30-year-old Dawson was close to bearing fruit and hopes to push the transfer through quickly.

However, having seen Blackburn reject two bids for striker Rhodes, there is plenty of work still to do if he is to replace Shane Long up front.

"It's...

Jordan Rhodes underlined his value to Blackburn on the day Hull were told he was not for sale by inspiring Rovers to a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth.

The Scotland international marked his 100th appearance for the east Lancashire club by scoring his 54th goal just hours after Rovers had issued a statement confirming they had rebuffed two bids from the Tigers.

Rhodes' opener kick-started a first-half blitz which saw the hosts score three times inside 11 minutes. Captain Grant Hanley headed in a second...
