Three of Blackburn's long-term injury absentees are still struggling ahead of Leeds' visit to Ewood Park.

Rovers boss Gary Bowyer had hoped to welcome back Jason Lowe (foot), Tommy Spurr (groin) and Josh King (back) but the Whites' visit may come too soon for the trio.

Lowe and Spurr are still not training with the main group while Norway international King is even further away with his troublesome problem.

Striker Chris Brown (knee) is yet to make his Blackburn bow but he did score twice in a behind-closed-doors...

Striker Rudy Gestede continued his hot goalscoring form with his 10th of the season to give Blackburn a 1-1 draw at Brighton and extend their unbeaten run to seven games.

Gestede`s tremendous header early into the second half cancelled out Gary Gardner`s second goal in successive matches just before the interval.

Rovers striker Gestede, boasting 22 goals in his previous 36 games, threatened early on by heading over a curling free kick from Ben Marshall.

Steve Kean aims to finish the job with Brunei DPMM next season

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson analyse the changes we will see in the 2015 S.League season.

However, in Blackburn, northern England, his name alone might invoke public resentment. During Kean's turbulent spell in charge of Blackburn Rovers, he has even received death threats from irate fans.

And, through it all, the 47-year-old Kean has learnt to roll with the punches, brush off the animosity and even develop a thick hide.

"If you come from...

Ian Holloway was involved in a furious touchline row with Gary Bowyer as 10-man Millwall fought back to hold Blackburn 2-2 at The Den.

Tempers flared after Andy Wilkinson's foul on Ben Marshall earned the Lions defender a straight red card midway through the second half.

Millwall boss Holloway took exception to Rovers counterpart Bowyer's response to the tackle and both managers had to be separated by stewards and members of their coaching staff.

Bowyer then appeared to try to make peace with Holloway,...

A brace from Rudy Gestede helped Blackburn defeat a spirited Reading side 3-1 to record a third successive win in the Sky Bet Championship.

Gestede's towering header put the hosts ahead early in the first half before Glenn Murray tapped in a deserved equaliser just before the break.

A superb Ben Marshall free-kick saw Blackburn regain the lead and Gestede rammed home a third as they made it five games without defeat and climbed into the top six for the first time under Gary Bowyer.
