Owen Coyle hopes Blackburn Rovers can use their effort against Man United as a catalyst to avoid relegation to League One.

Blackburn Rovers have announced that manager Owen Coyle has left the club "by mutual agreement."

Owen Coyle hopes Blackburn Rovers can use their effort against Man United as a catalyst to avoid relegation to League One.
Jose Mourinho says Manchester United needed everyone to be focused to fend off Blackburn in their FA Cup win.

Jose Mourinho praised substitutes Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba for showing the attitude needed to carry Manchester United past Blackburn in the FA Cup.

Mourinho told BT Sport: "I think the attitude of every player was really good.

Blackburn Rovers manager Owen Coyle has told his players to savour sharing a pitch with Manchester United but be ready to punish them if their standards slip.

Back in the mid-1990s Blackburn and United were title rivals in the Premier League, but time has not been kind to the former and success this season would constitute avoiding relegation from the Championship.

Sunday's FA Cup fifth round offers a chance to forget their survival battle and renew acquaintances with United -- an opportunity that...

Blackburn's Craig Conway eager to face Man United for first time in career

Blackburn Rovers' Craig Conway celebrates scoring his team's third goal
Craig Conway has never before faced Manchester United.

Blackburn winger Craig Conway will chalk off a childhood ambition on Sunday when he takes on Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round.

Like many Scots, Conway afforded himself the luxury of supporting an English club growing up and, as an aspiring winger, it was the star power of Ryan Giggs and David Beckham that drew him to United.

Now, at the age of 31 -- and six years since he swapped Dundee for Cardiff -- he will have the chance to take on the Red Devils.

"I've never played against them before...
