Besiktas boss happy with draw after Talisca scores against parent club

Benfica scored early, but gave up a goal late in second-half stoppage time from a sublime free-kick by Talisca, an on-loan Benfica player.

Besiktas coach Senol Gunes felt a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser from on-loan Benfica midfielder Talisca against his parent club was just rewards for the Turkish team as they secured a 1-1 draw on their return to the Champions League after a six-year absence.

Benfica, who reached the quarterfinals last season, looked on course to start their Group B campaign with all three points following a first-half goal from Franco Cervi.

Portugal forward Nelson Oliveira joins Norwich City from Benfica

Nelson Oliveira returns to the Championship after spending last season at Nottingham Forest.

Norwich City have completed the signing of Portugal forward Nelson Oliveira from Benfica for an undisclosed fee.

Oliveira, who has signed a four-year contract, came through the youth ranks at Benfica but has spent the bulk of his career out on loan.

The 25-year-old had an encouraging spell in the Championship last season with Nottingham Forest, scoring nine goals in 28 games before suffering a groin injury that ruled him out of Euro 2016, and has also spent time with Swansea, Rennes and Deportivo...
