Fabio Capello says Jiangsu Suning have improved after Beijing draw

Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson preview two of the biggest match-ups in Week 15 of Chinese Super League football.
Hulk played a pivotal role in Shanghai SIPG's 2-1 win over Jiangsu Suning in the AFC Champions League last 16 phase.

Fabio Capello is confident his Jiangsu Suning side can turn their poor form around after seeing them hold Beijing Guoan to a 0-0 draw on Monday evening as the Italian waits for his first win in the Chinese Super League (CSL).

Jiangsu goalkeeper Gu Chao was in fine form as he kept Beijing at bay. But it was not enough to earn Jiangsu only their second victory of the season, and their first since Capello arrived earlier this month as Choi Yong-soo's replacement.

Wei Shihao and Wu Lei both scored twice as Shanghai SIPG handed Beijing Guoan a 5-1 thrashing on Saturday evening to remain in touch with Guangzhou Evergrande at the top of the Chinese Super League standings.

The win was the 200th of Andre Villas-Boas' coaching career, but the Portuguese was forced to watch from the stands after being sent off during his side's 3-1 win over Shanghai Shenhua in the Shanghai derby last week.

Eran Zahavi brace keeps Guangzhou R&F unbeaten streak alive

Jiangsu Suning continue to look for their first win of the league campaign.

Eran Zahavi scored twice in the second half as Guangzhou R&F inflicted a 2-1 defeat on struggling Jiangsu Suning on Friday evening to maintain their place at the top of the Chinese Super League standings.

Jiangsu, runners-up last year but who are second from bottom after six games of the season so far, took the lead through Alex Teixeira 10 minutes before the break as Choi Yong-soo's side continue to look for their first win of the league campaign.
