Beijing Guoan eyeing January move for PSG's Lucas Moura - source

ESPN FC's Craig Burley is at odds with the loads of criticism heading in PSG's direction after a loss to Bayern in the Champions League.

PARIS -- Beijing Guoan are interested in Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura and want to sign him in the January transfer window, a source close to the Chinese Super League side has told ESPN FC.

Lucas, 25, is out of favour at Parc des Princes and has known since this summer that coach Unai Emery no longer considers him part of his plans, while sporting director Antero Henrique tried to move him on before that window closed.

CSL: Hulk, Wu Lei each score brace as Shanghai SIPG close gap with leaders

Hulk and Wu Lei scored twice as Shanghai SIPG crushed Shanghai Shenhua 6-1 on Saturday evening to close the gap on Chinese Super League leaders Guangzhou Evergrande to five points.

Carlos Tevez was on the scoresheet for Shenhua, who saw Gus Poyet resign from his position as head coach at the start of the week, but the Argentinian was unable to stop a rampant SIPG from notching up a convincing win.

After a goalless first half, three goals in four minutes just before the hour mark from Hulk, Wu and...

Guangzhou Evergrande suffer another defeat as Schmidt nets debut win

Roger Schmidt guided Beijing Guoan to victory.

Guangzhou Evergrande's grip on top spot in the Chinese Super League was loosened on Saturday as Beijing Guoan inflicted their second defeat in a row.

Jonathan Soriano scored both goals in Roger Schmidt's first game in charge, with the result meaning Shanghai SIPG can move into pole position if they beat Changchun Yatai on Sunday.

Soriano gave Beijing the lead inside the first minute when he danced past the Guangzhou defence before slotting home, and doubled the advantage six minutes after the break.
