Dortmund ease past Stuttgart, Werder Bremen see off Bayer Leverkusen

Borussia Dortmund moved onto the DFB Pokal semifinals following a convincing victory over Stuttgart.

Borussia Dortmund eased to a 3-1 win versus Stuttgart, with Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring first half goals. The win puts Thomas Tuchel's team through to the semifinals of the DFB Pokal.

Lukas Rupp briefly levelled for the hosts in the 21st minute after Reus' fifth-minute opener. But Dortmund had the upper hand by half-time, with Aubameyang giving his team the lead again in the 39th minute.

Werder Bremen defender Papy Djilobodji aims to stop Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez in their Cup match on Tuesday.

Werder Bremen defender Papy Djilobodji has admitted he likes peas, but knows that stopping Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez will not be easy in the DFB Pokal match this Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola praises defender Joshua Kimmich as Bayern draw

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola sang the praises of emergency centre-back Joshua Kimmich after his side extended their unbeaten start to 2016 with a 0-0 draw at Bayer Leverkusen.

Kimmich, 20, was forced to play his second game in a row at the heart of the Bayern defence due to an injury crisis which has struck the Bavarian club.
