Scunthorpe's teenage substitute Hakeeb Adelakun snatched a deserved point for his side with a stoppage-time goal in a 1-1 draw at Bradford.

There were fewer than two minutes of the four minutes of stoppage time West Midlands referee Philip Gibbs had added on when a long diagonal ball found Adelakun unmarked on the right and his angled shot sneaked in at the far post.

Bradford went in front after 32 minutes with a goal from defender Rory McArdle. Billy Clarke crossed for Filipe Morais, whose shot was...

Barnsley boss Danny Wilson to reach 1000 games in charge

Danny Wilson has previously managed clubs including Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.

Danny Wilson will be inducted into the League Managers Association's Hall of Fame when he becomes just the 24th man to take charge of 1,000 competitive games in professional football.

The Barnsley manager will bring up the landmark when his side take on Leyton Orient in League One on Saturday.

He will join a select group that includes Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Matt Busby, Brian Clough and Arsene Wenger.

Only four current managers -- Arsenal's Wenger, Crystal Palace's Neil Warnock, QPR's Harry Redknapp...

Dale Jennings' second-half brace helped League One Barnsley avoid an FA Cup upset at Chester as they beat the non-league side 3-0 in their second-round replay.

The two sides drew 0-0 in the first meeting yet a shock never looked on the cards as Kane Hemmings opened the scoring before Jennings netted twice for the Tykes, who now face Middlesbrough at Oakwell in the third round.

Chester were unbeaten in their previous eight home games but the visitors set out to silence the crowd early on and they would...

Former Charlton striker Jordan Cook scored two goals and made the other as Walsall extended their unbeaten league run to six games after coming from behind to beat Barnsley 3-1 at the Banks's Stadium.

After early Walsall pressure, Barnsley took a surprise lead in the 29th minute when Connor Hourihane delivered a corner into the box where big defender Lewin Nyatanga was unmarked to score with a firm header inside the far post.

That brought a determined response from the Saddlers who hit two goals in...

Barnsley are lucky to still be in the FA Cup after being outfought by Conference side Chester in a goalless draw at Oakwell.

Chester came close to opening the scoring through a deflected effort from Craig Mahon on 22 minutes. The Irishman dashed down the left and his cross-shot was pushed onto the bar by Ross Turnbull.

Four minutes into the second half Mahon jinked his way into the box and his curling effort was turned past the post by Turnbull.

Kieran Charnock then had a header cleared off the line...
