The FC crew pinpoint the issues that plagued Tottenham against Gent as they crashed out of another European competition.

Ten-man Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the Europa League in the round of 32 after losing 3-2 on aggregate following Thursday's 2-2 second-leg draw against Belgian club Gent at Wembley.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's hat trick gave Manchester United a 3-0 win against St Etienne in a Europa League round of 32 first-leg clash at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Ibrahimovic opened the scoring in unusual circumstances after 15 minutes when his free kick struck the St Etienne wall and deflected towards goal leaving St Etienne goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier wrong-footed and stranded before crawling over the line.

Newcastle's Tim Krul joins AZ Alkmaar on loan in search of first-team football

Dutch international Tim Krul has moved to AZ Alkmaar on loan in a bid to regain form and fitness.

Newcastle United keeper Tim Krul has joined AZ Alkmaar on loan after cutting short his deal with fellow Eredivisie side Ajax.

The 28-year-old made a temporary switch to Ajax at the start of the campaign in a bid to regain form and fitness after missing most of 2015-16 through injury.

Krul, however, was unable to dislodge Andre Onana from the No. 1 spot at the Amsterdam ArenA and decided to leave the club in pursuit of first-team action.

Markus Henriksen's loan to Hull City made permanent

Markus Henriksen has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Hull City after the Premier League club made his loan from AZ Alkmaar a permanent transfer.

The 24-year-old has made 11 appearances in the Premier League and three in the EFL Cup and has signed on despite the club's precarious relegation picture.

Manchester United face St Etienne in Europa League, Spurs play Gent

The first legs will take place on Feb. 16, with the second legs on Feb. 23.

Manchester United will take on St Etienne in the Europa League's round of 32, while Tottenham Hotspur will face Gent and Villarreal have been drawn against Roma.

United, who finished second in their group behind Fenerbahce, come up against a side sitting eighth in Ligue 1 as they attempt to win the trophy for the first time in their history.

The two sides have met twice before in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1977, with United emerging victorious over the two legs with a 3-1 win.
