Ayr will have Andy Millen in charge against bottom-of-the-table Stirling at Somerset Park.

Millen, in control of first-team affairs following the dismissal this week of Mark Roberts, has a full squad available for Saturday's game.

He said: "The start of the week was difficult but we have to look to move things along now. It is a good group of players here that know that they have under-achieved and a good way to start putting that right is by winning this game.

"The squad are short on confidence after...

Colin McMenamin grabbed a hat-trick as Stenhousemuir won 3-2 to send Ayr crashing to a fifth straight defeat.

Stenny striker McMenamin struck twice in the first half, either side of Ayr midfielder Scott McLaughlin's free-kick, and added a third early in the second period before Alan Forrest's late consolation.

McMenamin pounced for his first and the game's opening goal in the 12th minute when he despatched a low, right-footed shot beyond home goalkeeper David Hutton from 10 yards.

Dunfermline secured a fifth Scottish League One home win of the season when beating Ayr United 4-2 in an entertaining encounter at East End Park.

Andy Stirling put the Pars in front after 19 minutes when firing in a right-foot shot and Allan Smith soon made it two after charging down goalkeeper David Hutton.

Scott McLaughlin pulled one back for the Honest Men when finding the top-right corner with a sweetly-struck shot from outside the box but Shaun Byrne replied in kind with another fine effort for...

Forfar ended a run of five matches without a win with a 2-0 victory at home to Ayr thanks to goals from Stephen Smith and Omar Kader.

The hosts took the lead after just four minutes when Smith's left foot drive found the top left corner and they dominated the remainder of the first half, with Dale Hilson and Kader forcing Ayr goalkeeper David Hutton into action.

Ten minutes after the restart Morton were two up through Kader when he tapped home from six yards out and just a minute later it could have...

Rory McAllister scored a hat-trick as Peterhead stretched Ayr's winless run to five games with a 3-2 victory.

The visitors lead three times during the contest and it was McAllister's third goal 10 minutes from time which settled the contest.

McAllister gave The Blue Toon the lead in the eighth minute by slotting the ball into the bottom left-hand corner.

Craig Beattie came on as a substitute for Ayr just after the break and levelled the score with a right-footed effort nine minutes into the second period.
