The term "Best Expansion Team Ever" can also be filed under "Damning with faint praise." It's intended as flattery, but it's really borne of low expectations.
In the first 21 years of Major League Soccer's existence, just three of the league's 13 expansion teams managed to reach the postseason, with just one after the turn of the millennium. In 2017, Atlanta United became the fourth, shattering attendance records and playing some eye-catching football along the way.
So when the question is posed...
Atlanta United is expecting midfielders Miguel Almiron and Chris McCann to return from injury for Sunday's home match against Toronto FC.
"It's probable that him, as well as Chris McCann, will be back for the next game," Atlanta boss Tata Martino said on Sunday.
On Wednesday, Almiron, 23, posted "I'm back!" on his Instagram account, possibly confirming his return to the team.
A Paraguay international, Almiron had been out since late September when he was diagnosed with a left hamstring injury.
Will Bruin scored twice in four minutes midway through the second half and the Seattle Sounders clinched a playoff berth and a chance to defend their MLS Cup by beating FC Dallas 4-0 on Sunday.
The Sounders are tied for second place in the Western Conference with Portland at 50 points apiece with one game left, two points behind West-leading Vancouver.
Dallas still has not clinched a playoff spot and is tied with the San Jose Earthquakes for the final position at 43 points after Sunday's games.
