Aritz Aduriz extends contract with Athletic Bilbao until June 2019

Aritz Aduriz has had three spells at Athletic Bilbao.

Aritz Aduriz has signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao, the Basque club have announced.

The 36-year-old, who returned to Athletic for a third spell from Valencia in 2012, will now remain with the La Liga side until June 2019.

A statement on Athletic's official website read: "Athletic Club and Aritz Aduriz have signed a contract renewal by which the player will remain with the club until 30 June 2019.

"His cancellation clause will be €40 million.''
