Giacomo Bonaventura moving to AC Milan, Jonathan Biabiany transfer off

Giacomo Bonaventura is headed to AC Milan after their deal to move Jonathan Biabiany in from Parma was cancelled.

AC Milan made a late move for Giacomo Bonaventura, agreeing a seven-million-euro fee with Atalanta for the 25-year-old, after a transfer for Jonathan Biabiany of Parma fell through. Milan said Bonaventura had signed until 2019.

Biabiany's transfer from Parma to AC Milan, which was confirmed earlier in the day, broke down after Cristian Zaccardo refused to move in the opposite direction.

Hellas coach Andrea Mandorlini opted to play with Bosko Jankovic in support of veteran striker Luca Toni, whose 20 goals proved crucial in helping the Verona outfit finish 10th in Serie A last season.
