Defeat leaves Serie A new boys Frosinone without a point from their first two games of the campaign.

Atalanta, beaten 1-0 by Inter Milan in their league opener, had a great opportunity to take an early lead when the referee awarded the hosts a penalty after Leonardo Blanchard...

On-loan Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic struck at the death to hand Inter Milan a 1-0 victory over 10-man Atalanta in their Serie A opener at the San Siro.

Jovetic, who replaced the injured Mauro Icardi early in the first half, was left unmarked inside the Atalanta area and fired a right-footed shot past a helpless Marco Sportiello in the visiting goal.

Yohan Benalouane: Leicester City €8m offer too big for Atalanta to turn down

Yohan Benalouane played 27 times in Serie A for Atalanta last term, helping the Bergamo club avoid relegation to Serie B.

Yohan Benalouane has sent a message to Atalanta fans after agreeing a move to Leicester City, saying he has done it for the good of the Serie A club.

Benalouane, 28, revealed that Leicester have paid €8 million to sign him on a four-year contract and said he had no choice but to accept, although he insists he would have preferred to have stayed in Bergamo.

"I couldn't say anything before it was all sealed, but now there is something I wanted to say," the Tunisian defender told the Bergamopost....

Giacomo Bonaventura bagged a brace against his former club Atalanta as AC Milan won 3-1 at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

In what could be Filippo Inzaghi's last game in charge of Milan it was the hosts who opened the scoring through Daniele Baselli after 21 minutes.

But Giampolo Pazzini and Bonaventura struck back before half-time, with Atalanta academy product Bonaventura adding his second of the evening late on, as Milan ended the Serie A season with back-to-back wins.

The victory lifts them to...

Chievo remained unbeaten at home since February 2 after finding a late equaliser to draw 1-1 against Atalanta on Sunday afternoon.

The Flying Donkeys trailed 1-0 after Atalanta striker Alejandro Gomez's early second-half strike.

Atalanta looked to be heading for their first away win since January 18, only for Chievo substitute Sergio Pellissier to pull the hosts level two minutes from time.

The result in Verona lifted Chievo into 14th place in Serie A.
