Prem Forecaster: Leicester now title faves, Newcastle clear of drop zone

Former Arsenal player Sol Campbell believes that Leicester City can win the Premier League title if they keep their nerve.

On the 25th matchday of the 2014-15 Premier League season, Leicester City lost 2-1 at Arsenal, falling deeper into the Premier League basement with just 17 points.

One year later, Leicester City won its 25th game of the season, beating Manchester City 3-1 on Saturday and moving five points clear atop the league table (53 total points).

While the Foxes were already in first place entering the weekend, Saturday's win moved them atop the virtual standings for the first time this season. They are now the title favorite, according to both ESPN's Soccer Power Index (SPI) and the bookmakers.

Remi Garde praised his Aston Villa players for their display against Norwich City.

Aston Villa boss Remi Garde insists Gabby Agbonlahor has eased his pain after the striker ended an 11-month goal drought to beat Norwich.

The forward scored his first goal since March 2015 as Villa downed the Canaries 2-0 to move eight points from safety.

Joleon Lescott's header opened the scoring, with Villa sealing just their third Premier League win of the season, although they remain bottom.

Aston Villa to fine Jordan Ayew for 'stupid' red card - Remi Garde

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde refuses to discuss Jordan Ayew's sending off but praises his side's 10-man effort.
An early red card shown to Aston Villa's Jordan Ayew opened the door for two, second-half goals from West Ham.

Aston Villa boss Remi Garde confirmed Jordan Ayew will be fined for his red card at West Ham, as the manager's striking woes continued.

Five-goal forward Ayew was dismissed for an elbow on Aaron Cresswell in Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Upton Park and is now banned for three games.

And to make matters worse for Villa, striker Libor Kozak has been ruled out for a month after it was revealed he has suffered a minor fracture to his ankle.

Villa, the Premier League's bottom club, only have Gabriel Agbonlahor...
