Roma president James Pallotta has hinted the club may still strengthen before the end of the transfer window.

Newcastle defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has completed a season-long loan move to Roma.

Yanga-Mbiwa, 25, arrived at Rome's Fiumicino Airport on Monday and underwent a medical before completing his Serie A switch.

"I am happy, forza Roma," Yanga-Mbiwa is quoted as saying by the Italian press.

Roma president James Pallotta has hinted the club may still strengthen before the end of the transfer window.

Roma are looking to complete the signing of Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, even though the president of the French club admits he would like to keep hold of him.
