Mattia Destro is not for sale, says Roma director of sport Walter Sabatini

Mattia Destro has been linked with a move away from Roma in January.

Chelsea have been warned off making a January bid for Mattia Destro by Roma director of sport Walter Sabatini.

The Blues were one of several clubs to show an interest in Destro, 23, last summer, but Giallorossi president James Pallotta blocked a move for the forward.

Now, Sabatini has reaffirmed his club's stance, even though their top scorer this season has expressed concerns about his lack of playing time in the Italian capital.

"Destro is not on the market," Sabatini told RAI television.

AC Milan's Adriano Galliani: Move for Roma's Francesco Totti 'impossible'

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani expresses his opinion on the fan disruptions during Italy-Croatia.

AC Milan's general manager Adriano Galliani has revealed the club tried to sign Francesco Totti as a youngster, but says it would have been "impossible" to persuade the striker to leave Roma.

Totti, 38, has scored 293 goals in 718 appearances for Roma, and captains the club with which he has spent his whole playing career.

Many teams -- including the Rossoneri -- have tried and failed to prise the forward award from the Giallorossi, though Galliani has praised the striker's devotion to his club as...

Roma forward Mattia Destro pleased to hear of reported Arsenal interest

Mattia Destro has only started five Serie A matches for Roma this season.

Roma forward Mattia Destro says he is honoured to be linked with a move to Arsenal and believes it shows he is doing something right.

Destro, 23, recently spoke of his frustration at his lack of opportunities this season in a Giallorossi side which has fierce competition for attacking places.

With Francesco Totti proving capable of coping with three games in a week, and both Gervinho and Juan Manuel Iturbe seen as his natural partners, Destro has had to make do with less action than he would have...

Striker Marco Borriello determined to make big impact for Roma

Ahead of their league clash with Torino, Roma head coach Rudi Garcia believes his side can achieve great things this season.

Marco Borriello has vowed that he will "be a key player" for Roma when he returns from injury after the international break.

The 32-year-old former AC Milan striker has scored 18 goals in 65 appearances during his time at the club but has been kept on the sidelines for most of the season with a muscle injury, after starting the first two games on the bench.

And despite knowing that Francesco Totti, Mattia Destro, Gervinho, Juan Manuel Iturbe, Alessandro Florenzi and Adem Ljajic are ahead of him in...
