Monaco get back on track to beat Guingamp, restore lead atop Ligue 1

Monaco gain some separation between themselves and Nice at the top of the table with an away win at Guingamp.

Ligue 1 leaders Monaco returned to winning ways with a 2-1 triumph over Guingamp to restore their three-point lead.

Leonardo Jardim's side were held to a draw by Bastia last weekend and then lost 5-3 to Manchester City in a remarkable Champions League clash in midweek.

Nancy's hopes of equalising took a blow when 18-year-old defender Faitout Maouassa received a second yellow card and was sent off in the 78th minute for fouling Rodelin, whose free kick...

Mario Balotelli was sent off for the third time this season in Ligue 1 as Nice leapfrogged Paris Saint-Germain into second place in the table after a 1-0 win at bottom club Lorient.

Balotelli, a free signing from Liverpool last summer, was shown a straight red card for dissent in the 68th minute.

From initial video replays, it seemed difficult to ascertain what Balotelli did wrong other than backing into Lorient defender Zargo Toure with his arms up as they challenged for a ball.

Nice coach Lucien...
