Julian Draxler lifts PSG on Ligue 1 debut; Lorient off the bottom

Julian Draxler was on the scoresheet again for PSG on Saturday.

Julian Draxler scored on his Ligue 1 debut as Paris Saint-Germain beat Rennes 1-0 at Roazhon Park.

The Germany international joined PSG from Wolfsburg for a reported £38 million at the start of the January transfer window, and made his first appearance in the Coupe de France tie against Bastia, scoring the final goal of a 7-0 trashing.

Draxler was on target again on Saturday to put the defending Ligue 1 champions ahead late in the first half.

Monaco needed a late equaliser from Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho and a penalty shootout before beating second-division Sochaux to reach the French Coupe de la Ligue semifinals on Tuesday.

The match finished 1-1 and, with no extra time in the competition, went directly to penalties -- with Monaco prevailing 4-3.

Sochaux, who beat Marseille in the previous round, led through Madagascar striker Faneva Andriatsima's goal in the 16th minute.

Manchester City have seen off strong competition to land France under-18 duo Mickael Cuisance and Dan-Axel Zagadou, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.

Centre-back Zagadou has turned down a professional deal with Paris Saint-Germain and attacking midfielder Cuisance has done the same at Nancy in order to make the move to England.

Julian Draxler scored the last of PSG's seven goals on Saturday.

Julian Draxler scored in his first competitive game for Paris Saint-Germain as they routed fellow Ligue 1 side Bastia 7-0 in the Coupe de France.

The Germany international signed a four-and-a-half year deal after completing his move from Wolfsburg and, after playing in a friendly in Tunisia in midweek, came off the bench to score PSG's final goal on Saturday.

Nancy's Clement Lenglet completes move to Sevilla for €5 million fee

French defender Clement Lenglet has completed a move to Sevilla from Nancy, the La Liga club confirmed on Thursday.

Lenglet, 21, agreed a contract until June 2021 and sealed a €5 million move after undergoing a medical.
