Djibril Sidibe injury doubt for France at World Cup, out for Monaco

France could not find a goal against Ivory Coast on Tuesday.
Djibril Sidibe will not return for Monaco this season.

Monaco full-back Djibril Sidibe will not play again this season due to a knee injury which could yet put his World Cup in doubt.

The France international, 25, injured the meniscus in his right knee during Sunday's thumping defeat to Paris Saint Germain and will be out for between four and seven weeks.

Monaco's Ligue 1 campaign finishes against Troyes on May 19 while Les Bleus play their World Cup Group C opener against Australia on June 16.

Monaco fans urged to reject refund offer after Paris Saint-Germain rout

PSG ran rampant on Monaco at Parc des Princes to reclaim the Ligue 1 title with five matches to spare.
Javier Pastore is happy PSG reclaimed the French Ligue 1 title, thrashing the defending champions Monaco 7-1 at the Parc des Princes.

Monaco's official supporters' club has urged fans who attended Sunday's 7-1 thrashing at Paris Saint-Germain to reject the club's offer to reimburse the cost of their trip.

PSG sealed the Ligue 1 title with the huge win at Parc des Princes, and Monaco said they would refund fans who had made the near 2,000-kilometre return journey to the French capital.

The thrashing leaves deposed champions Monaco four points ahead of Lyon and Marseille in second place, which brings qualification for the group...

Monaco's Fabinho - No contact over Paris Saint-Germain transfer

PSG's Unai Emery reveals he spoke to Neymar and expects the Brazilian to be back in Paris in two to three weeks to continue his rehabilitation.

Fabinho has denied he has had contact with Paris Saint-Germain and says he is focused on getting Monaco into next season's Champions League.

The Brazilian was close to joining PSG last summer, and in January the 24-year-old, who has also been linked to Manchester United, opened the door to a move away from Monaco by saying he wanted a new challenge.

Speculation linking him with PSG arose prior to last Saturday's Coupe de la Ligue final which Monaco lost to the club from the French capital for the...

Amiens' Lacina Traore hits back at claims he has changed his identity

Amiens' Lacina Traore
Amiens' Lacina Traore has insisted he is not who an Ivorian club president said he is.

Amiens striker Lacina Traore has told L'Equipe he will take legal action over allegations he changed his identity.

Ibrahim Kone, the president of Ivorian club Etoile Sportive d'Abobo, alleged earlier this week that Traore had been called Traore Menene when his club signed him in 2005.

Kone claimed Traore had changed his name and falsified his age -- Kone said Traore is 29, not 27 as listed -- and that ES Abobo should receive part of the numerous transfer fees the striker has moved for throughout...
