Radamel Falcao scored twice as Monaco ran out 4-0 winner on Friday.

Radamel Falcao scored a brace as Monaco thrashed Lille 4-0 to maintain the pressure on Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

The Colombian was on target twice after the break, with first-half efforts from Stevan Jovetic and Rachid Ghezzal setting the principality side on their way to a sixth win from seven in the league this term.

Jovetic opened the scoring after 24 minutes when he turned his defender on the edge of the box and fired home a low effort.

Monaco's new signing Keita Balde says he's not there to try and replace Kylian Mbappe.

Bordeaux president Nicolas De Tavernost has told RMC he has more of a problem with Monaco's fiscal advantages than the massive spending of Paris Saint-Germain.

The summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will cost PSG around €400 million in transfer fees, and caused a huge stir among Europe's elite clubs.

Monaco ready for RB Leipzig UCL test despite heavy Nice defeat - Jemerson

Leonardo Jardim won't rule out Monaco returning to the heights they reached last year, but insists it will be a process.

Monaco defender Jemerson has said he believes the French champions will shrug off an emphatic derby defeat at the weekend and begin their Champions League challenge strongly at RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

Centre-back Jemerson was in the side swept away 4-0 by Nice as Monaco crashed to defeat after starting their title defence with four straight wins.

The principality club reached the Champions League semi-finals last season, and Jemerson said: "The game against Nice has not put doubt into the team.
