Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker pranked by young fan at Bayern
He may be a grizzled veteran by football standards, but that didn't stop Per Mertesacker from falling for the oldest schoolboy prank in the book.
Making his way to the bench before Arsenal's Champions League tie against Bayern Munich at the Emirates last week, the big German defender noticed a young fan holding out his hand and stopped to shake it.
You can probably guess what happened next.

A true classic of the genre, and just as funny now as it's ever been -- i.e, not very.
Fair to say that Mertesacker wasn't particularly impressed either, with the BFG left to glare in silence for a few seconds before carrying on towards the dugout.
