Caolan McAleer's stoppage-time strike secured East Fife a 2-0 victory over Arbroath at Bayview Stadium.

Simon Murray nearly put the visitors into an early lead before Gary Naysmith's men were awarded a penalty. Derek Riordan's resulting spot-kick was saved by Arbroath's Marc McCallum to keep his side level.

But Riordan soon made amends as he fired East Fife into the lead before the interval, nestling a pinpoint free-kick into the bottom corner.

Nathan Austin nearly doubled the home side's tally as...

Albion Rovers extended their lead at the top of the Scottish League Two table to four points with a 2-0 victory against Arbroath at Gayfield.

Alistair Love and Gary Fisher scored the goals to give Darren Young's side a fourth straight win and put a severe dent in the Red Lichties title hopes.

Arbroath have gone off the boil of late and just one success in the last 11 league games now leaves them eight points behind Rovers.

The visitors went ahead after only four minutes when Love lobbed the ball over...

Bobby Linn hit a hat-trick as Arbroath swept aside Clyde 3-1.

The former Dundee and Peterhead striker took his tally for the season to 10 with a well-taken treble.

He opened the scoring in the second minute, tucking away Simon Murray's pass from close range.

Murray was the provider again just after the half-hour mark as Linn drove his second into the top corner.

And six minutes after the interval he completed his treble, with Murray making it a hat-trick of assists with another pass into the six-yard...

Ross Campbell scored a brace as rock-bottom Montrose stunned title-chasing Arbroath with a 3-0 victory in Scottish League Two.

Montrose had lost their previous three games to nil but Graham Webster ensured that would not happen again when he found the top-left corner with a right-footed strike in the 28th minute.

Campbell's low shot two minutes after the break doubled Montrose's lead and he grabbed his second just five minutes later from close range.

Arbroath huffed and puffed but got nothing for their...

Ross Gilmour scored with East Stirling's only shot of the game as their smash-and-grab performance saw off Arbroath 1-0.

The Red Lichties dominated the game at Gayfield Park, peppering their visitors' goal with over 20 shots, but it was Gilmour's that mattered as he shot home from close range just after the hour-mark.

It was the Shire's only foray into their hosts' area as Arbroath were dominant throughout.

Paul McManus, Bobby Linn and Simon Murray all had good opportunities in the first half but could...
