Ludogorets lose, APOEL held as second round of qualifying begins

Adam Gyurcso's goal was enough for Videoton to defeat TNS in their first leg on Tuesday.

Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad, who beat Basel and held Liverpool to a draw a year ago, lost at home to Milsami 1-0.

Alexandru Antoniuc scored the only goal for the Moldovan champs in the 41st minute.

Meanwhile, Cypriot champions APOEL, quarterfinalists in 2012, were held to a goalless draw at home by Vardar of Macdeonia.

Giorgis Donis parts ways with APOEL Nicosia after 18-month spell

Giorgis Donis guided APOEL Nicosia to the Champions League group stage in 2014.

NICOSIA, Cyprus -- Coach Giorgos Donis has left APOEL Nicosia after an 18-month run that saw him lead the team to a Cypriot league and cup double as well as qualification for the group stage of the Champions League.

APOEL spokesman Nektarios Petevinos told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Donis and club management had mutually agreed to part company after a spate of poor results allowed rival Apollon Limassol to move level with the Nicosia club at the top of the standings.
