Ex-Caribbean Football Union chief Gordon Derrick has ban reduced

ZURICH -- Former Caribbean Football Union (CFU) president Gordon Derrick's ban from football for ethics violations has been cut from six years to four following an appeal, global governing body FIFA said on Tuesday.

Derrick, also a former general secretary of the Antigua FA, was banned by FIFA's ethics committee last September following an investigation which began in March 2015. He has denied wrongdoing.

Caribbean Football Union (CFU) president Gordon Derrick has been banned from all football-related activities for six years by FIFA's ethics committee.

Derrick, who is also the general secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda FA, has been found guilty of six different breaches of FIFA's ethics code, including offering and accepting bribes, mismanaging funds and abusing his position.
