Annan consolidated their place in the Scottish League Two play-off places courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Clyde.

The Black and Golds needed just four minutes to open the scoring, David Hopkirk tapping home his sixth goal of the season after Alan Martin had saved Stuart McColm's initial shot.

Clyde pulled themselves level after 32 minutes when David Sinclair left Jake Gemmell with no chance after finding himself in space at the edge of the box.

Josh Todd scored what proved to be the winner on the hour...

Queen's Park dominated but could not make the breakthrough as they drew 0-0 with Annan at Hampden Park.

Ciaran McElroy came the closest when he slipped the ball past keeper Alex Mitchell, only to see his effort hit the post.

Paul Woods was at the hub of some promising play by the home side, but failed to test Mitchell with two good opportunities.

Queen's Park suspected it was not going to be their day when they had two chances in two minutes late on to win the game.

Shaun Rooney nodded over when well...

Annan continued their fine run of home form with a last-gasp 2-1 win over East Fife which ended the visitors' five-match unbeaten run in Scottish League Two.

In the final minute of normal time, the visitors had Gary Naysmith sent off for fouling David Hopkirk in the area and replacement Scott Davidson smashed the resulting penalty into the top corner.

After a tight first half, the Galabankies edged ahead five minutes into the second period when Kieran Brannan's cross was headed in at the near post...

Andy Jackson hit a first-half hat-trick as Brechin booked a trip to Falkirk in the Scottish Cup by beating Annan 4-2 in their fourth-round replay.

City got off to a flying as Jackson headed in a Ewan McNeil cross after just four minutes and the striker then doubled the lead with a neat right-footed finish seven minutes later.

The 26-year-old completed his treble when latching onto a Bobby Barr pass in the 27th minute, but Annan steadied the ship and substitute Scott Davidson managed to pull one back...

Arbroath maintained their three-point lead at the top of the table but were made to sweat in a 3-2 win against Annan.

Two goals in three second-half minutes from Jack Smith and Dylan Carreiro added to Robert Linn's opener and appeared to make the game safe but the visitors rallied late on.

Linn opened the scoring in the 15th minute when his cross-cum-shot sailed straight over Alex Mitchell.

Eleven minutes into the second half Smith took advantage of Steven Black's misjudgement of a long ball to slot...
