A dramatic late fightback by East Stirling could not prevent them from losing 4-3 to Annan.

Despite trailing 4-1 with five minutes to go, two late goals threatened to steal a point for the visitors but the late pressure was not enough as Annan clung on.

The home side went ahead in the second minute as Peter Weatherson fired into the bottom corner before David Hopkirk's cross flew over the head of Richard Bernard in the Stirling goal to make it 2-0.

Neil McCabe pulled one back with a stunning volley...

Arbroath moved eight points clear at the top of the table with a 1-0 win over in-form Annan.

It took the visitors just 10 minutes to break the deadlock and take a huge step to making it six games unbeaten when Simon Murray teed-up Dylan Carriero who found the bottom corner.

Murray then came close to doubling their lead on the half hour but Alex Mitchell kept out his 33rd-minute effort from the centre of the box.

The Galabankies came into their first home game in five boasting a seven-game unbeaten run...

Peter Weatherson rescued a point for Annan as they came from behind to hold East Fife to a 1-1 draw.

The hosts opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Caolan McAleer rifled in from the right side of the box after good work from Ross Campbell.

Annan had a great opportunity to level things up in the 26th minute when Stuart McColm let fly from 20 yards but his effort clattered a post.

The visitors finally equalised in the 78th minute when Weatherson controlled Martin McNiff's throw-in before rifling...

Annan put an end to their grim start to the season with a 2-0 win over Berwick.

In a poor match lacking rhythm and intensity, the visitors carried the greater threat in the first half. Darren Lavery and Dean Hoskins missed with shots for the Borderers, and Annan goalkeeper Alex Mitchell saved further efforts from Lavery and David Gold.

The match turned with two quick strikes by the Black and Golds midway through the second period. New recruit Stuart McColm converted from close range after some fine...

Annan Athletic secured their first point of the season as they drew 3-3 with Elgin City in a dramatic match.

Annan got off to a dream start, midfielder Josh Todd picking up the loose ball in the box and firing home after 33 seconds.

The lead lasted only four minutes, as Elgin's new signing Marvin Andrews was allowed too much space to wander up from defence and head home a corner.

Annan were soon back in front after Kenneth Mackay ran past Graeme Beveridge and blasted into the bottom left-hand corner....
