Leaders Livingston were stunned at home by Peterhead in Ladbrokes League One.

Liam Buchanan headed home to set up a grandstand final 10 minutes but Peterhead held on for a 2-1 victory that ended their opponents' three-match winning run.

David Hopkin's men remain top, though, with Brechin's game at Albion postponed and Alloa losing to Airdrie 2-1.

Non-league Eastleigh produced a shock upset as they claimed a 3-1 victory over Swindon to book their spot in the FA Cup second round.

Jai Reason, Andy Drury and Mikael Mandron were on the scoresheet as the Spitfires stunned their Sky Bet League One hosts, who scored a consolation late on through Nathan Delfouneso in the first-round replay.

The National League side took a 16th-minute lead when Reason finished off a flowing move, which included a clinical one-two between the midfielder and Scott Wilson.

St Mirren hire Alloa's Jack Ross as new manager

St Mirren have appointed Jack Ross as their new manager, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

The Buddies have been on the look out for a boss since sacking Alex Rae last month.

Now -- after failing with bids for Billy Davies, Neil Warnock and John Hughes -- the Paisley outfit have turned to Alloa manager Ross.

The 40-year-old spent two years as a player with Saints but his task now will be to turn their season around. The club currently sit bottom of the Championship without a win from eight games so...

Late goals from James Forrest and Moussa Dembele took Celtic past Alloa and into the Betfred Cup semi-final but the Hoops made hard work of overcoming the League One outfit 2-0 at Parkhead

A goalless first half was characterised mostly by poor finishing from the Ladbrokes Premiership leaders while returning Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon was perhaps fortunate to only get a yellow card for his high challenge on Wasps striker Greig Spence outside the box.

Numerous attempts on the visiting goal also went...

Iain Flannigan's late strike saw Alloa claim a 2-1 victory over Queen's Park at Hampden.

After a goalless first-half, Ross Millen gave Queen's Park the lead after 54 minutes when the hosts were awarded a penalty. Millen stepped up to slot past Neil Parry in the Alloa goal.

But the visitors equalised with 10 minutes remaining as Grieg Spence scored a penalty of his own.

The Wasps completed the comeback with four minutes remaining as Flannigan popped up to snatch the winner for Jack Ross' side.

Alloa now...
