Callum Wilson has signed a new four-year contract with Premier League newcomers Bournemouth.

Wilson, 23, has been a reported target for a number of established top-flight sides having impressed during his first year with the Cherries.

The forward, who joined the club from Coventry 12 months ago, scored 20 goals as Eddie Howe led Bournemouth to promotion and will be an integral part of a team looking to survive in the Premier League.

Blackburn have agreed compensation with Bournemouth over the sale of Josh King, avoiding the need for a tribunal.

King signed for the Cherries on a three-year contract in May, but compensation had to be paid to Rovers because he was under 24.
