Bournemouth thumped a feeble Boro side who are now seven points adrift of safety.

It was another day to remember for Bournemouth on Saturday, as they thumped Middlesbrough 4-0 and claimed another three points. The victory pushes the south coast club up to 38 points in the Premier League and fans can start to breathe a sigh of relief with regards to their status in England's top division.

After another injury setback, Shaka Hislop and Alexis Nunes discuss what the future has in store for Jack Wilshere.

It's been a difficult few days for Bournemouth. After being dealt a humiliating 4-0 defeat by Spurs, news emerged that summer-signing Jack Wilshere has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with a fractured leg. Tottenham maintained their stunning form cruising past Bournemouth to close the lead at the top to four points.

It was an afternoon to forget for Eddie Howe and Bournemouth, who suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Spurs. Admittedly, it was always going to be a tough ask to achieve a good result against such a dominant side season such as Mauricio Pochettino's, but such a disappointing performance doesn't bode well for the rest of the season. They have a comfortable gap above the relegation zone, but more points are needed to ensure survival.

Mauricio Pochettino says the pressure is now on Chelsea to keep the pace atop the Premier League.

LONDON -- Three thoughts from White Hart Lane as Tottenham wrapped up a confident, comprehensive 4-0 win over Bournemouth.

1. Tottenham are in superb form

Playing Tottenham these days is a tough enough business: this was their seventh league win in a row (the first time they've achieved that in 50 years), a club record 12th home win in a row and they've only lost once in the league since December. Bournemouth didn't help themselves by more or less conceding the game within the first 20 minutes;...

Jack Wilshere leads list of Cherries players looking to impress at Spurs

Chelsea re-established their seven-point lead atop the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth.

Despite a recent defeat to league leaders Chelsea, Bournemouth still remain in a decent run of results and a victory over Tottenham is definitely achievable. The Cherries admittedly struggle in matches away from the Vitality Stadium, but with Josh King in such impressive form, the south coast club have a good chance against any side. Manager Eddie Howe said it's likely to be one of the toughest games of the season, but if King is firing properly, they should be aiming for three points.

Harry Arter, Jack Wilshere impress but Bournemouth fall short vs. Chelsea

Chelsea re-established their seven-point lead atop the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth.

Bournemouth were in a strong position to cause an upset against league leaders Chelsea after picking up points at Manchester United and Liverpool away from home in their last five Premier League fixtures. However, it simply wasn't to be for Eddie Howe's men on a sunny south coast afternoon.
