Adrian Mutu to join Petrolul on loan

Adrian Mutu has announced that he will leave Ajaccio in January and return to Romania to Petrolul Ploiesti.

Adrian Mutu will join Petrolul Ploiesti on loan for 18 months.

Mutu, 34, joined the Corsican club in a shock move in 2012, but has failed to live up to his star billing.

After being sparingly used by former Ajaccio coach Fabrizio Ravanelli earlier this season, Mutu has since been left out of the squad by the Italian's successor, Christian Bracconi.

Ajaccio's Ochoa eyes move abroad

Ajaccio's Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has hinted that he will look for a move to another European league this summer.
