Benjamin Corgnet's extra-time goal kept Thursday's game from going to penalties.

St Etienne booked their place in the last 16 of the Coupe de France on Thursday night with a dramatic extra-time win over Ligue 2 Ajaccio.

The defender player struck 18-year-old Tours goalkeeper Bingourou Kamara with a vicious blow from behind before landing another clean hit on 21-year-old midfielder Haris Belkebla.

Mutu, 34, joined the Corsican club in a shock move in 2012, but has failed to live up to his star billing.

After being sparingly used by former Ajaccio coach Fabrizio Ravanelli earlier this season, Mutu has since been left out of the squad by the Italian's successor, Christian Bracconi.
