A statement on the Dons' official website read: "Everyone at Aberdeen Football Club is saddened with the news that former star Graham Leggat, arguably one the best players ever to grace Pittodrie, has passed away in Canada."

The Cottagers website issued a statement which read: "All at Fulham are thinking of Graham's family and friends at this time."

Aberdeen equalled a 31-year-old club record with a fifth successive Ladbrokes Premiership victory as they saw off a disappointing Partick Thistle.

A 2-0 victory at Firhill came courtesy of goals from Adam Rooney and Kenny McLean.

The opening strike from Rooney in the 49th minute had the home fans fuming as the striker appeared to control a pass from McLean with his arm before slotting home. McLean grabbed the second goal nine minutes later.

In the 16th minute Jonny Hayes had the first meaningful opportunity...

Aberdeen preserved their 100 per cent record in the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership as Adam Rooney's double delivered a 2-0 home win over Dundee.

A typical Rooney header midway through the second half, and an injury time penalty from the same player, saw off a Dundee side who were distinctly second best.

The Dons were on top from the off, but struggled to significantly test Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain during an otherwise dominant first-half performance.

Dundee rallied after the interval but they too...

Aberdeen maintained their perfect start to the Ladbrokes Premiership season with a 2-1 comeback win after another difficult day for Motherwell goalkeeper Connor Ripley in his side's third consecutive defeat.

The Dons fell behind early on to Marvin Johnson's follow-up but levelled with a freak goal in the 25th minute when Niall McGinn's low cross went across Ripley and into the far corner.

The on-loan Middlesbrough goalkeeper had been caught up the park for Dundee United's second goal last weekend and...

Aberdeen put their European disappointment behind them as they overcame Kilmarnock 2-0 to make it two wins from two in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Graeme Shinnie's first goal for his home-town team set them on their way, and Adam Rooney added a second from the penalty spot to seal the points for the home side.

The victory leaves Aberdeen as one of only three teams boasting a 100 per cent record after two rounds, with Celtic and Hearts the others.

The Dons made three changes from their midweek draw with...
