Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward joins Aberdeen on loan

Aberdeen have signed Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old Wales squad player trained with his new teammates on Friday and will compete with last season's number one, Scott Brown, and long-serving Jamie Langfield for the goalkeeper's jersey.

The former Wrexham player joined Liverpool in 2012 and signed a long-term contract earlier this week after spending time on loan at Sky Bet League Two side Morecambe last season.

Dons boss Derek McInnes told the club's official...

Aberdeen sign Manchester City academy product Joe Nuttall

Aberdeen have signed Manchester City striker Joe Nuttall on a two-year deal, the club have confirmed.

The 18-year-old, a product of the English club's youth academy, impressed recently during a trial stint with the Dons and has now clinched a move to Pittodrie.

He said: "I am very happy to be joining Aberdeen, as it is such an historic club with a fantastic following. I'm really looking forward to what will be an exciting project ahead.

"I would also like to thank everyone at Manchester City for...

Chris Kane upstaged Aberdeen captain Russell Anderson's last game when he netted his first St Johnstone goal with his first touch of his side's crucial 1-0 victory at Pittodrie.

The 20-year-old ran onto a pass down the right channel from fellow substitute James McFadden before slotting underneath Scott Brown, just seconds after coming on as a 70th-minute substitute.

The only goal of the game earned St Johnstone a fourth-place Scottish Premiership finish and will also secure a fourth consecutive Europa...

Dundee were denied a return to winning ways as Adam Rooney's injury-time equaliser gave Aberdeen a 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw at Dens Park.

Luka Tankulic's opener a minute before half-time looked like giving Paul Hartley's side their first victory since early April.

But substitute Rooney popped up to level in the dying seconds to give Derek McInnes' men a share of the spoils.

It was a slow start but on 14 minutes Dundee's Greg Stewart tried to spark things into life when he went on a run and unleashed...

Celtic underlined their status as Scottish Premiership champions with their fourth win of the season over nearest challengers Aberdeen.

The Hoops were given a guard of honour by the Dons players before the game but there was certainly no sense of deference as Derek McInnes' side looked the more determined in the first half at a blustery Pittodrie.

However, Celtic skipper Scott Brown's early second-half finish from close range after starting the move at the edge of his own penalty area was the difference...
