Former Real Madrid coach Jose Ramon Lopes Caro has been replaced as head coach of newly promoted Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, with the club bringing in Ma Lin.
Lopes Caro led the club to the China League One title last season but Dalian have parted ways with the Spaniard after not offering the ex-Saudi Arabia coach a new contract for the coming season.
Ma, who previously worked with the club when they were known as Dalian Aerbin, will be tasked with maintaining the club's top-flight status next season.
"I'm very happy to be back here, I know you all very well," said Ma, who was in charge of Liaoning Whowin last season.
"I hope we can work together and achieve our target. I have no doubt that with leadership from the backers and the city's sport bureau as well as the help from the local football association, we will reach our target."
