Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas highlighted the unpredictability of football in the wake of the Blues' Premier League title-clinching victory over West Brom on Friday night.
Little-used forward Michy Batshuayi came off the bench to score the 83rd-minute winner, handing the Blues their second league title in three years at the The Hawthorns.
And Fabregas couldn't contain his amazement with Batshuayi's sudden star turn after the match.
"This is the beauty of football. A player that didn't play a lot. Everyone thought he doesn't count too much and then he scores the winning goal for the championship," Fabregas said live on Sky Sports.
"I mean, football is f------ unbelievable!"
Batshuayi, a £33 million signing from Marseille last summer, has yet to start in the Premier League, but the Belgian made his 18th appearance off the bench and showed his poacher's instinct seven minutes later with his second league goal of the campaign.
And the 23-year-old treated it as old hat, writing on Twitter:

Chelsea had trouble breaking down a solid West Brom defence for most of the match before Batshuayi's goal, and Fabregas initially thought it might not be their night.
"To be honest I thought it was going to be one of those days," he said. "In the first half we had so many chances, we played well. We felt a bit nervous maybe because of the pressure."
Chelsea talisman John Terry watched from the bench as he has for the most of the season, but said he was happy to experience his fifth Premier League title with the club.
"These boys have been on the field doing it week, in week out. It's been a delight to sit and watch, a different perspective," Terry said.
""The togetherness they've shown even when we lost games early on. When we lost to Arsenal away, when we lost to Liverpool at home, the togetherness to come back and regroup. That winning streak we went on was incredible, fundamental in our season."
It was a new experience for defender David Luiz, who realised a dream with Chelsea's success for the first time after joining the club for a second time last summer.
"I'm very happy. This is my first Premier League title," Luiz told BBC 5 Live. "When I decided to come back here it was because of this -- I dreamed of one day winning the Premier League so I'm very happy because my dream came true.
"I am so happy -- we worked hard every day to have these kinds of moments."
The Brazilian paid tribute to his manager Antonio Conte, who took a team that finished 10th a year ago back to the top of the table.
"He likes to work -- this is his secret," Luiz said of Conte. "He works with passion every day. I am so happy for him because it's never easy to come here in the first year and win the title. He deserves it because he works hard every day."
Gary Cahill said Chelsea had proven their doubters wrong by recovering from the miserable campaign a year ago.
"You have to cherish these moments, you work so hard all season to be where we are," Cahill said. "Consistently we have been the best team in the league. There is no better feeling in football.
"People have written us off as a team and individually and this has shut them up. We are champions. It's another one in the cabinet."
