Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante wants to contribute more to attack

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante says Antonio Conte is driving him to improve the attacking side of his game.

Kante, a key part of Leicester's shock title success last season, has become an essential part of Conte's Chelsea side this season and Frank Lampard said this week that he may be the world's best midfielder on current form.

Former Juventus and Italy midfielder Conte said this week that Kante is already a better player than he was, but the Chelsea boss has said on multiple occasions that he wants the 25-year-old to contribute more in attack.

Kante accepts there is room for improvement, saying: "We know [Conte] was a midfielder, we know his career, we can respect what he did. When he gives you advice, I have to understand and try to improve.

"Not especially to score goals but when I have the pass, to look forward, to try to make me improve, but also when we have the chance to score, we like to create chances and score.

"It's important. Sometimes it could make the difference for the team, for the game, and when we have the chances to score, we have to score."
