Antonio Conte: Michy Batshuayi ready to start for Chelsea against Burnley

Antonio Conte could hand Michy Batshuayi his first start Premier League start against Burnley on Saturday after the striker impressed with two goals in his first three appearances for the club.

Batshuayi, 22, featured as a substitute against West Ham and Watford -- where he scored off the bench -- and the former Marseille forward grabbed a brace midweek in the Blues' 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers in the League Cup.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea's match against Burnley, Conte said it would not be "difficult" to start the £33 million hit man against Sean Dyche's side.

"It's not difficult because Batshuayi is a player of Chelsea," Conte said. "I can decide to put him in tomorrow, no problem.

"He's a young player who's improving a lot with his work. He can improve a lot in the future [too]. But the present is important, too. I can decide to play him at the beginning of the match [against Burnley]."

Chelsea aim to continue their perfect start to the season with Conte hopeful that Willian could return to boost his team.

The Brazilian missed both the 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road and the midweek win over Bristol Rovers due to a calf complaint, but Conte revealed the 28-year-old is in line to return against Burnley.

"Willian started the training session on Thursday with us," the Italian said. "Today he had a good training session."

Conte also admitted some other players are struggling with knocks and that he would need to check ahead of Saturday's game, though he refused to add further details.

"We have some situations I have to check tomorrow," Conte said. "Then to choose the best formation. The best starting XI. I don't want to tell you who, but I have to check on Saturday."

The Italian is well aware of the danger Burnley pose to his side after their shock 2-0 victory over Liverpool at Turf Moor last week.

"I watched the performance against Liverpool. Fantastic performance," Conte said, nodding his head in approval. "The physical and tactical aspects: they put Liverpool under pressure for 90 minutes. It's incredible.

"Only a year ago, many people paid attention to possession of the ball. Without that, you don't win. But in the game between Burnley and Liverpool it was very clear: 20 percent to Burnley and 80 percent to Liverpool but it was 2-0 to Burnley.

"For this reason I told my players to pay great attention tomorrow. It's a very tough game against a very good side, so we must pay a lot of attention. I hope the team and the players and the fans push together to win."
