Kurt Zouma thanks Chelsea fans after operation on knee

Kurt Zouma has returned to England following a knee operation in Spain.

The defender is out for the rest of the season after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament a week ago against Manchester United.

He wrote on Instagram that everything went well with his procedure in Barcelona and thanked fans for supporting him.

The 21-year-old will also miss the European Championship to be played in his native France.

Chelsea, meanwhile, face a challenge to replace both him and John Terry for Sunday's FA Cup game against Manchester City.

January signing Matt Miazga could debut for Chelsea as Guus Hiddink has confirmed he plans to use a young lineup at Stamford Bridge.
