Thibaut Courtois says Radamel Falcao would be good addition for Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has encouraged his club to bring striker Radamel Falcao to Stamford Bridge.

Monaco are looking for another desitination to loan Falcao after his year at Manchester United, and Courtois sees no better club than Chelsea for the 29-year-old.

The duo are former teammates at Atletico Madrid, where they won the Europa League in 2012, and Courtois is eager for a reunion.

"I don't know anything about [a transfer], but of course I know Falcao very well," Courtois told reporters. "He's a very good boy, he's a good friend of mine, so if he comes, great.

"It's the decision of the club but he would be a very good player for Chelsea."

Jose Mourinho is in the market for a striker after the departure of Didier Drogba, and said last week that he can help the Colombian improve on the four Premier League goals he scored for United last season.

"If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it," he told DirecTV Sports in quotes translated by Sky Sports. "It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United.

"He played in Spain and Portugal and I know him very well because I was in Portugal and Spain. In Spain we were together when he was at Atletico and I was at Real and I know him very, very well ... he is a great player."
