Eden Hazard's contract talks not a worry for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho insists he is "not worried" about Eden Hazard not yet signing a new contract at Chelsea.

Despite the manager himself recently referencing that Hazard would soon agree a new deal, there has as of yet been little movement, leading to questions from Belgian press about the situation.

Mourinho responded in a relaxed manner, and said there is no problem.

"Why should it be [made official]? Why? What's the problem? He has a contract with Chelsea for two or three more years. Are you worried? I'm not worried. I'm not worried."

As regards this weekend's trip to Aston Villa, where Mourinho has never won as a manager, the Portuguese confirmed that the injured Filipe Luis and suspended Diego Costa are the only absences. Mourinho also intimated that new signing Juan Cuadrado is unlikely to start because of his lack of training this week.

"He trained just two days. I cannot say much. The business situation almost to the last minute on Monday, he had to go to Paris for visas and the legal situation on the Tuesday. He only trained here a couple of days. I cannot say much."

Mourinho was also asked about the fine form of 20-year-old Kurt Zouma at central defence, and said the French federation should be grateful to him for securing the future of their back-line, given his work with Raphael Varane at Real Madrid.

"I think the French federation should write me a letter to thank me because I think they have now the two best young defenders in the world. Not the two 'best,' because they are young. There are final products, mature players of 25, 28, 30 years of age. But as young defenders, can you imagine what Zouma and Varane could represent in a couple of years? Didier [Deschamps] should be very happy with that. For sure."
