Demba Ba: It's likely I'll leave Chelsea

Demba Ba has revealed he is likely to quit Chelsea at the end of the season, while insisting that he and his fellow under-fire forwards at Stamford Bridge have nothing to prove to Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho recently stated that he was unhappy with his options up front at Chelsea, with Ba, 28, among them.

The Senegal international is just over 12 months into the three-and-a-half-year deal he signed following his move from Newcastle United in January of 2013.

However, the striker has told RMC that he could soon be packing his bags again before the 2014-15 campaign begins.

"I don't know, but it's highly likely I won't be at Chelsea," Ba, who has started just four times under Mourinho in all competitions this season, said. "I haven't yet made my decision."

The striker did prove useful to Mourinho on Tuesday, though, coming off the bench to score the 87th-minute goal that took Chelsea through to the Champions League semifinals, at the expense of Paris Saint-Germain.

"It did me good, because I haven't had great times this year, the chance to have fun, but I try to make do with what I'm given," the boyhood PSG fan said, before adding that the collective criticism of Chelsea’s lack of firepower has brought himself and fellow strikers Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o closer together.

"I have a special relationship with my two rivals with regard to all that has been said about us in the papers, that Chelsea needs strikers. That makes us more determined, and we're more united to show that Chelsea has three very good strikers. But we don't have anything to prove to Mourinho."
