Schuerrle says Chelsea ready for anyone

Andre Schuerrle insists that with Jose Mourinho on the touchline and John Terry and Frank Lampard on the pitch Chelsea fear no one in Friday's Champions League semifinal draw.

The 2012 European Cup winners advanced to the last four by overturning a 3-1 first-leg deficit to Paris Saint-Germain and progressed on the away goals rule on goals by Schuerrle and Demba Ba in a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

"We can win against every team," Schuerrle said. "If you have John Terry, Frank Lampard on the pitch, they've seen everything in football. And it gives you a good feeling because they know what to do."

Mourinho does, too. The Portuguese has guided four clubs -- Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid -- to the last four and has now reached a Champions League semifinal for an eighth time in 11 seasons.

"If you know this statistic it gives you a better feeling that he knows what to do," Schuerrle added.

Mourinho won the European Cup in 2004 with Porto and 2010 with Inter. There are numerous sub-plots with any of the possible semifinal opponents in Friday's draw, including against his former employers Real Madrid.

Mourinho called for his side to believe in the run-up to the game and be patient during it. Schuerrle came on as an 18th-minute replacement for Eden Hazard, whose calf injury will rule him out of this weekend's match at Swansea. He scored 14 minutes later in a man-of-the-match display.

Ba has been used sparingly this season, starting just three times, but the Senegalese striker took his opportunity.

"Everyone's happy for him," Schuerrle said. "It was a difficult time and he totally deserved it."
