Henrique Hilario signs new Chelsea deal

Chelsea goalkeeper Henrique Hilario has signed a new one-year contract at Stamford Bridge, taking him into a seventh season with the club.

Hilario has struggled for first-team opportunities at Chelsea
Hilario was brought to Chelsea by Mourinho in 2006.

Hilario, 37, was signed for Chelsea by Jose Mourinho, back at Stamford Bridge for his second spell as manager, and will be one of four goalkeepers in the squad along with Petr Cech, Mark Schwarzer and Jamal Blackman.

The Portuguese 'keeper has made 39 Chelsea appearances and kept 18 clean sheets, and told the club's official website: "It feels really good to sign a new contract for another year at the club. I'm very proud.

"I'm really pleased to be part of this great squad, and I'm looking forward to working, once again, with Jose Mourinho."
