Moussa Dembele: Celtic can shock Barcelona in Champions League

Moussa Dembele believes Celtic can cause an upset when they face Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Dembele, 20, scored a hat trick on Saturday as the Scottish champions proved too much for their rivals Rangers, securing a 5-1 win at Celtic Park.

Celtic next face a trip to Barca as they open their Champions League group-stage campaign, and Dembele feels his side can be quietly confident about their chances at the Camp Nou.

"We are capable of going to Barcelona and getting a result," Dembele told reporters. "We are going there to give everything to come away with something.

"When you start any game of football, even if it is against the best in the world, you have to show that you belong and give everything to get a result."

Dembele, a summer signing from Fulham, says he is ready to start in Spain if called upon, and will take heart from netting his first senior hat trick this weekend.

"If I have to start then I will be ready like every game," he said. "As a player you have to be ready for every challenge and that is what I do.

"When the manager needs me I am here. I think I showed what I am about and it is good for the team.

"It was the perfect day, to beat Rangers at home, to get the points and to get my first hat trick. It was something unbelievable and I will remember it all my life."
