Burnley striker Danny Ings is weighing up interest from home and abroad as he prepares to leave Turf Moor at the end of the season, sources have told ESPN FC.
Ings' future was the subject of intense speculation during the January transfer window, with the England under-21 international entering the final six months of his Clarets deal.
Reports on Monday suggested the 22-year-old had signed a pre-contract with Real Sociedad, but sources have told ESPN FC those rumours are not true, even though the Spanish club are interested in the player.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with Ings, with speculation suggesting that they had hoped to sign him before the close of the transfer window and loan him back to Burnley, although that would have been a breach of Premier League rules.
Burnley were always adamant that they would not sell Ings during the transfer window and they managed to keep hold of their prized asset when the deadline passed.
The striker is unlikely to sign a new deal with the Clarets, meaning the club would only be due training compensation for the player -- likely to be around three to five million pounds as he is under 24 -- if he leaves in the summer.
Ings is set to find himself even more in demand at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Manchester City and Chelsea are keeping tabs on him and could make a move in the summer as both clubs are looking to increase their quota of homegrown players, while Tottenham are also said to be long-term admirers.
Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay, meanwhile, has said it is "too early" to talk about whether the club will sign Ings at the end of the season, but did leave open the possibility that an agreement had been reached with the player for a summer move.
"To talk about Danny Ings would be to talk about next summer, and get too ahead of reality," he told AS. "There is still a lot to think about for next year, the truth is work is being done, but it is very early to talk about what La Real want for next year.
"I am not going to speak about any player. In the winter market the view was not just on who we could sign now, but also in the summer, for the future."
