Brazil's Willian gives tips on how to stop Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard

Willian has been passing on tips to help Brazil stop his Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard when they face Belgium on Friday, and the Selecao hope his "information" gives them an edge in their bid to reach the last four.

The Brazil assistant manager Cleber Xavier, speaking alongside Tite in his pre-match news conference, revealed that they have leaned upon the in-form winger for advice as they bid to halt a side that has already scored 12 goals at Russia 2018.

"Wilian works with Hazard -- he gives us a lot of information and this helps us with the strategy for sure," Cleber said.

Brazil expect to face threats from all over the field and Tite elaborated on his colleague's response, saying an entertaining game looks certain.

"The creative power of Belgium is very strong, their quality," he said. "Two teams that play beautiful football. They have individual technical value."

Tite also jumped to the defence of Neymar, who was widely criticised for his reaction to a challenge by Mexico's Miguel Layun in their round of 16 win, and pointed out that the Paris Saint-Germain forward has made considerable improvements to his all-round game.

"You should look at the videos [of the incident]," he said. "Just look at the images.

"What makes me happy is having him playing at his best, and it is not just with the ball and dribbling. It is defensive transitions. If you look you will see how much he has been contributing. Sometimes counter-attacking. The sense of team work, that's the best virtue. And all the rest, it's up to you."

Brazil will welcome Marcelo back after he missed the Mexico game with a back injury, but Casemiro is suspended and there is a minor doubt over his midfield sidekick Paulinho, who picked up a knock during the 2-0 victory in Samara.

"He got injured in the last match," Tite explained. "He was having a hard time moving. [But] with the options I have, I look at the bench and think I only have top players. Marquinhos could also play there as a midfielder. He has the tools to play."
