Brazil call up Danilo, Fred, Diego Tardelli for final World Cup qualifiers

Brazil coach Tite has brought defender Danilo, midfielders Fred and Diego, and striker Diego Tardelli for the last World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Chile next month.

Danilo, who has not been in a Selecao squad since March 2016, joins his Manchester City teammates Ederson, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus in the team, while Liverpool's duo of Phillippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino are also included.

Shakhtar Donetsk's Fred and Shandong Luneng's Diego Tardelli return for the first time since the 2015 Copa America.

Gremio midfielder Arthur has been called up for the first time, but Juventus winger Douglas Costa and Chelsea defender David Luiz were once again left out.

Taison, Rodrigo Caio, Fagner, Giuliano and Luan were dropped from the team that beat Ecuador and drew in Colombia earlier this month.

Brazil, who have already qualified for the 2018 World Cup, go to Bolivia on Oct. 5 and face Chile on Oct. 10.
