Liverpool, Chelsea, City, PSG to pay for plane to fly Brazil players back - source

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain will once again split the bill of a chartered plane in order to ensure their Brazil internationals return to their respective clubs as soon as possible, a source has confirmed to ESPN FC.

Reds duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino will be lining up for Brazil in their World Cup qualifier against Peru on Tuesday and the source said Jurgen Klopp wants them back on Merseyside as soon as possible to prepare for the trip to Southampton on Saturday.

Meanwhile, City have Fernandinho on duty with Brazil, Chelsea are represented by David Luiz and Willian, while French champions PSG have defender Thiago Silva with Tite's side.

As earlier reported by The Sun, the hired private jet cost around £120,000 with clubs paying an equal share and is scheduled to get the players back to Europe on Wednesday evening.

A source told ESPN FC that the clubs worked together during the last international break to bring their players back in a timely manner and are doing so again in the hope that they can play in fixtures at the weekend.

Premier League leaders Liverpool were aided following the conclusion of the last round of international fixtures by the fact that they played Manchester United at home on a Monday night, which Coutinho and Firmino were both able to start in.

Klopp is hoping that the chartered jet will mean his two star players -- who have both netted six goals so far this season -- will be able to train for an extra day at Melwood and are in a good enough condition for Saturday afternoon's encounter with Claude Puel's Southampton side.

Coutinho played a major role in Brazil's 3-0 win over Argentina last week as he broke the deadlock in the 25th minute with a wonderful long-range effort in Belo Horizonte.

After the World Cup qualifier that saw Tite's side move into first place in the CONMEBOL standings, Coutinho spoke of his pride at playing in the fixture against Brazil's fierce rivals.

"Being in the squad is a very proud moment for me," Coutinho said. "To be able to participate in such a group, next to great players, playing a classic like this is cause for much happiness. But of course we are still trying to achieve our ultimate goal, which is qualifying for the World Cup.

"Playing against Argentina has always been a big dream, every child dreams of wearing the shirt of Brazil and playing a classic like this. Today we prevailed on the field, the crowd helped a lot since the first whistle. We leave here very happy."
