Neymar 'a bit too cocky' in Brazil's defeat of Bolivia in qualifiers - Duk

Brazil and Barcelona superstar Neymar has been told to tone down his "cocky" attitude after leading the Selecao to a scintillating 5-0 defeat of Bolivia in World Cup qualifying on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Brazilian scored one goal and assisted two others as Brazil comfortably made it three victories from three since Tite took over as manager. However Neymar received a yellow card for dissent in the 36th minute, leaving him out of Tuesday's qualifier against Venezuela

The 2016 Olympic gold medal-winner was also admonished in some corners of the media for acting out during the lopsided victory, causing many to question his maturity.

To cap an eventful night, Neymar was forced off in the 69th minute after a stray Yasmani Duk elbow left the Brazil No. 10's face bloodied, and the Bolivian defender urged the former Santos man to calm his "Charlie Big B------s behavioiur" on Sunday.

"Neymar was being a bit too cocky," he was quoted as saying by AS. "He was like that with all of us throughout the game.

"All I was trying to do was cut off a move, which is what happens in football. Everyone knows the sport has its physical side -- I had my nose broken and no one says a word.

"To become the best player in the world, he's got to stop this 'Charlie Big B------s' behaviour and start showing some respect for his opponents."

Brazil, who sit second in CONMEBOL qualifying with 18 points, will face Venezuela at the Estadio Metropolitano in Merida on Tuesday.
