Brazil coach Dunga admits his side's qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia is going to be "complicated''.
The five-time world champions needed two goals in the final 10 minutes to earn a 2-2 draw with Paraguay, but the point leaves them outside of the automatic qualification spots after six games.
It looked like being even worse as goals from Dario Lezcano and Edgar Benitez put Paraguay in a commanding lead until Ricardo Oliveira's 80th-minute strike was followed by a Dani Alves effort deep into injury time.
Brazil play joint-top Ecuador next and Dunga knows that his side's fate is in their own hands, but admits qualification is not a foregone conclusion.
"The beauty of football is that the next match ours is against the leader,'' Dunga said in his post-match news conference. "It will always depend on ourselves. The heats have always been complicated, from '82, '86, '90, '94 ... and this will be even more complicated.
"When I spoke after the last game [a 2-2 draw with Uruguay] we needed to have technical quality with the ball and we have to be more physical when we are without the ball, that was it.
"We must fight, as opponents do. I saw a team that know how to react when things are not coming and need to change. We knew it was difficult.''
Paraguay manager Ramon Diaz admits Brazil's late rally was tough to take.
"It leaves a bitter taste, because we wanted to win and we were close to it,'' he said. "There's still a lot of games left, the table is still open and it is important to remember we were facing Brazil, who have a lot of quality.
"It is important to see that we can face great teams. It is important to see the team evolve.''
