RIO DE JANEIRO -- Brazil have added Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista and winger Douglas Santos of Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro to the squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers this month against Argentina and Peru.

Brazil coach Dunga announced the moves on Friday, replacing two injured players -- defenders Marcelo of Real Madrid and Marquinhos of Paris Saint-Germain. Marcelo has a left-leg injury, and Marquinhos is out with an injured right thigh.

Brazil face Argentina on Nov. 12 in Buenos Aires, and play Peru on Nov. 17 in the northeastern Brazilian city of Salvador.

Brazil have three points from its first two qualifiers. Argentina, the runner-up in the 2014 World Cup, have one point. Peru have lost their first two matches.

Barcelona forward Neymar is available after serving a four-match suspension for a sending-off during this summer's Copa America.

Brazil opened their CONMEBOL qualifying campaign with a 2-0 loss to Chile before bouncing back with a 3-1 win over Venezuela.
