Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus set to return against Legia Warsaw

Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus is set for his Champions League comeback against Legia Warsaw on Tuesday after recovering from a minor injury that kept him out of the Bundesliga win against Bayern Munich at the weekend.

Reus, 27, was initially expected to return to Thomas Tuchel's squad for Dortmund's 1-0 defeat of Bayern on Saturday but was ruled out due to a heel problem and did not want to take any risks following his long injury layoff.

"When everything goes perfectly, I hope that I can be part of Tuesday's squad," Reus was quoted as saying on Dortmund's official website.

"I had heel problems in training on Wednesday, and you need your heel to run," he said. "I will be delighted when I return to the pitch, and can perform again."

Dortmund have already qualified for the knockout stages of Champions League after four match days and are expected to rest several players ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga match at Eintracht Frankfurt, who are level on points.

However, the club are looking to finish top of their group ahead of Real Madrid. The holders currently have eight points, two less than Dortmund, and travel to Sporting on Tuesday.
