Borussia Dortmund's Marc Bartra suffers injury in win over Wolfsburg

Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra is a major injury doubt for his side's upcoming matches after he was substituted with adductor problems only 10 minutes into Dortmund's 5-1 win at Wolfsburg.

Bartra, 25, set up Raphael Guerreiro for Dortmund's opening goal of the night at the Volkswagen Arena when he played a perfect pass through the defensive line. However, only six minutes later, he walked off the pitch injured.

"He's got adductor problems," Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel told his postmatch news conference. "He felt something during warm-up. It disappeared and it came back when he played a pass. Intuitively, I'd say it will be very, very tight for the Freiburg match [on Friday]."

Following the Freiburg match, Dortmund host Real Madrid in the Champions League next Tuesday.

At Wolfsburg, former Barcelona centre-back Bartra was replaced by Matthias Ginter and Dortmund soon doubled the score through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

"For a long time it did not feel like such a clear result for us," Tuchel said. "We scored five goals and took an early lead but then we suffered for quite a spell in the first half and in the opening stages of the second period, because we gave away a lot of good-quality chances."

In the past week, Dortmund have scored 17 goals in their three matches at Legia Warsaw, against Darmstadt and at Wolfsburg, but Tuchel warned that they still have a lot of work to do.

He said: "The victory hung in the balance for a long time. There are lots of things to improve -- but we will still take from it the self-belief that winning gives you."
