Ilkay Gundogan wants Borussia Dortmund exit this summer - sources

Ilkay Gundogan has told Borussia Dortmund he wants to leave the Westfalenstadion in the summer, sources told ESPN, and both Bayern Munich and Juventus are interested in the midfielder.

Sources have also told ESPN that reports from Germany that Manchester United are on the brink of agreeing a €30 million deal for Gundogan are incorrect.

Gundogan's contract with 2011 and 2012 Bundesliga champions Dortmund expires in 2016 and if they do not sell the unsettled Germany international this summer, they risk losing him on a free transfer.

Bayern have a track record of signing players from Borussia after taking Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski in recent years.

And Juventus could be in the market for a central midfielder if Paul Pogba leaves the Serie A champions.

United are expected to move for Gundogan's Dortmund teammate Mats Hummels, but it is understood they are not closing in on the midfielder, who scored in the 2013 Champions League final but has suffered from injury problems since then.

Manager Jurgen Klopp's imminent departure from Borussia is likely to bring an exodus of man of their top, in-demand players.
