Jurgen Klopp not interested in talking about Premier League move

Jurgen Klopp has played down talks of a possible job in the Premier League once he leaves Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Klopp, 47, announced his decision to quit the club this summer after seven years where he won back-to-back Bundesliga titles and the German Cup. He also led his team to the 2013 Champions League final, which Dortmund lost 2-1 against Bayern Munich.

During his time at Dortmund, he gave the club a new identity and put the 1997 Champions League winners back on the map of European football, while turning himself into one of the best young coaches around.

Klopp has been tracked by the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal, but when asked whether he feels honoured by Premier League clubs having a high opinion of him, he did not appear to be flattered.

"No, I don't even know if that's the case, and to be honest I am not incredibly interested in it," he told reporters during one of his last pre-match news conferences. "Once the journalists get to know me better, just like all of you here know me, nobody will be panting for me anymore."

"Thus it's nothing which concerns me now, and, believe me or not, I don't have anything to do with the planning. I am entirely focused on the run-in of the Bundesliga season."
