Jurgen Klopp: Borussia Dortmund trip to Hertha Berlin is a relegation battle

Jurgen Klopp is confident that he will have a near fully-fit squad for Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga "relegation battle" at Hertha Berlin this weekend.

In one of the strangest seasons in the club's history, Dortmund have won half of their 14 points in the last four games after a dreadful start to the campaign.

Following their 1-0 victory over Hoffenheim on Dec. 5, BVB jumped from bottom of the table to 14th in the standings, and at the weekend could overtake Paderborn -- in 10th place -- for the first time this season.

Klopp's side visit Berlin on Saturday, with Hertha also having dropped behind Dortmund in the table following a poor run after a promising start.

"It's a relegation battle," the BVB coach told his pregame news conference on Thursday. "We know what our situation is and see it as a chance to take a big step forward."

In what Klopp expects to be a game with "one-on-one duels and even some man-marking tactics" and a "hard-fought affair," the Dortmund chief will have most of his players available.

Lukasz Piszczek, Mats Hummels and Sebastian Kehl were all rested because of minor injuries in Dortmund's Champions League match against Anderlecht, and could all return at the weekend.

While Poland international Piszczek has already resumed team training, German defenders Kehl and Hummels were seen doing individual training on Thursday.

"We are hopeful that both will recover in time, but it's not certain yet," Klopp added.
