Klopp amused by Spider-Man celeb

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp said he has no problem with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's "Spider-Man" celebration as long as he does not get booked.

Aubameyang scored Dortmund's second goal in their 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup on Wednesday and celebrated by donning a Spider-Man mask in honour of his son's third birthday.

"That was a salute to my son -- it's his birthday today," the Gabon international told reporters after the match. "I wanted to score for him."

The mask did not stay with the former St. Etienne man for too long, though. "Kevin Grosskreutz nicked it," Aubameyang said.

Grosskreutz, who did not feature for Dortmund after taking part in Germany's World Cup success, was later seen wearing the mask as he celebrated winning the first domestic trophy of the season.

"That was pretty cool," Sebastian Kehl, who has stepped down as Dortmund captain, said. "Lucky for him that this goal was enough to win it. We probably would have beaten him up otherwise!"

Klopp, who substituted Aubameyang seconds after the goal, also saw the funny side of the celebration.

"It made me chuckle -- as long as he can run with that thing in his socks and he doesn't get booked, he's allowed to do it," he said.

Klopp recalled the time one of his charges at Mainz, Felix Borja, had donned a Grim Reaper mask during a game against Aachen in 2007.

"I'm accustomed to that kind of grief," he said. "I once had a player at Mainz who celebrated a hat trick at Aachen with such a thing."

Aubameyang had previously celebrated with a Spider-Man mask while playing for St Etienne. During a match against Rennes in October 2012, he donned the mask in tribute to the club's former goalkeeper Jeremie Janot -- a huge fan of the character who had played in Spiderman costume against FC Istres in 2005.

Janot had recently left for Le Mans and Aubameyang explained to beIN Sport at the time: "We miss Jeremie Janot in the dressing room, so I just wanted to make a small dedication to him."
